Glen Grove Elementary school houses students from grades 3-5. Schools in District 34 are known to be high achieving institutes that provide a good quality education and experience for students. The goal is to empower children to be self-directed learners and responsible decision makers.
The Tree program is offered at Glen Grove. It’s a very unique learning environment based on a set of learner centered principles. It consists of roughly 75 students from all grades and uses a problem based, project learning approach. The focus is to personalize learning with the support of modern technology. One major goal is to provide an environment in which students can progress at their own pace. This program encourages students to be self-directed learners. They are responsible for designing projects, setting deadlines and meeting curriculum objectives. The school also has the ELL program for students who speak English as a second language.
